Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

VRCPulse is an analytics service for VRChat group and world owners. It is operated as a personal passion project. Questions about this policy can be sent to the project contact on Patreon.

2. What We Collect

  • Patreon account data — your Patreon user ID, username, email address, and membership tier, collected when you sign in via Patreon OAuth.
  • VRChat group data — aggregate member counts, instance activity, announcements, and calendar events fetched through the VRChat API on your behalf and stored over time to power analytics charts.
  • VRChat world data — aggregate visit counts, visit trends, occupancy, and popularity metrics for worlds you register, fetched through the VRChat API and stored over time.
  • Discord server data — guild name, icon, and member count if you choose to link a Discord server. Reaction counts on announcement posts and interest counts on scheduled events are stored as aggregate numbers only — individual user identities are not stored.
  • Usage data — basic server-side logs (request timestamps, errors) retained for debugging purposes. No third-party analytics SDK is embedded in the dashboard.

3. What We Do Not Collect

VRCPulse does not track individual users. All analytics are aggregate — we store counts and trends, never profiles, activity histories, or identifiable records for individual VRChat players or Discord members visiting your group or world. We do not build user profiles, track movements across instances, or record who specifically visited a world or joined a group event.

4. How We Use It

  • Authenticate you and verify your Patreon membership tier.
  • Display analytics dashboards for your registered groups and worlds.
  • Power Discord bot features you choose to enable (announcement sync, event sync, instance tables).
  • Improve the service and debug issues.

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Data Retention

Time-series snapshots (member counts, instance activity, world visit counts) are retained indefinitely to support historical charts. Announcement posts and calendar events are retained while your group is registered. If you remove a group or world registration, its associated data is deleted. Account data is deleted on request.

6. Cookies and Sessions

VRCPulse sets a single HTTP-only session cookie after sign-in. No advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party cookies are used.

7. Third-Party Services

  • Patreon — OAuth authentication and membership verification.
  • VRChat — Community data fetched via the VRChat API.
  • Discord — Optional bot integration. Governed by Discord's own privacy policy.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us through Patreon. You can revoke VRCPulse's Patreon OAuth access at any time from your Patreon account settings, which will prevent future sign-ins.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the VRCPulse Patreon page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
