Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

VRCPulse is a hosted analytics service for VRChat group and world owners. Questions about this policy can be sent to the project operator.

2. What We Collect

• Patreon account data: your Patreon user ID, display name, avatar, and membership facts, collected when you use the hosted service. Your Patreon OAuth tokens are discarded after login verification and are not stored by VRCPulse.
• VRChat group data: aggregate member counts, instance activity, announcements, and calendar events fetched through the VRChat API on your behalf and stored over time to power analytics charts.
• VRChat world data: aggregate visit counts, visit trends, occupancy, and popularity metrics for worlds you register, fetched through the VRChat API and stored over time.
• Discord server data: guild name, icon, and member count if you choose to link a Discord server. Reaction counts on announcement posts and interest counts on scheduled events are stored as aggregate numbers only. Individual user identities are not stored.
• Usage data: basic server-side logs (request timestamps, errors) retained for debugging purposes. No third-party analytics SDK is embedded in the dashboard.

3. What We Do Not Collect

VRCPulse does not track individual users. All analytics are aggregate: we store counts and trends, never profiles, activity histories, or identifiable records for individual VRChat players or Discord members visiting your group or world. We do not build user profiles, track movements across instances, or record who specifically visited a world or joined a group event.

4. How We Use It

• Authenticate you through the hosted Patreon flow.
• Display analytics dashboards for your registered groups and worlds.
• Power Discord bot features you choose to enable (announcement sync, event sync, instance tables).
• Improve the service and debug issues.

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Data Retention

Time-series snapshots (member counts, instance activity, world visit counts) are retained according to the operator's retention settings. Announcement posts and calendar events are retained while your group is registered. Removing a registration deletes its associated data. Hosted verification failures use a configurable grace and disabled-workspace retention period before any automatic prune; a subscription downgrade alone does not delete data.

6. Cookies and Sessions

VRCPulse sets a single HTTP-only session cookie after sign-in. No advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party cookies are used.

7. Third-Party Services

• Patreon: OAuth authentication and membership verification for the hosted service only.
• VRChat: Community data fetched via the VRChat API.
• Discord: Optional bot integration. Governed by Discord's own privacy policy.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your hosted account and associated data from the project operator. You can revoke VRCPulse Patreon OAuth access from your Patreon account settings.

9. Telemetry

The dashboard contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK. Server-side operational telemetry, if enabled by the hosted operator, is used for reliability and security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the hosted service evolves. Material changes will be announced through the hosted service.
